TBBCA Give Day Tampa Bay May 1, 2018 Donations support Charlie Hounchell Art Stars Scholarships
Tampa, FL (April 26, 2018) – TBBCA is proud to be participating in the annual Give Day Tampa Bay on May 1, 2018. Donations to TBBCA on Give Day will directly support The Charlie Hounchell Art Stars Scholarships providing financial assistance to talented and deserving Tampa Bay area students to help them fund higher education in the arts.
Give Day Tampa Bay is a 24-hour, online giving event, designed to increase philanthropy in the Tampa Bay area and raise awareness of the amazing work local nonprofits do in this community. All money raised on this day will stay in the Tampa Bay community. TBBCA is a non-profit 501 (c ) (3) founded in 1989 uniting businesses to champion arts education, arts and culture for a prosperous community.
“This year, our goal is to raise at least $2500 to help fund one of six scholarships,” said Susana Weymouth, TBBCA executive director. About TBBCA Charlie Hounchell Art Stars Scholarships Program
Funded through individual and corporate donations, each year TBBCA awards six or more competitive talent and merit based fine and performing arts scholarships in Dance, Instrumental Music, Vocal Music, Literary Arts, Theatre and Visual Arts to Tampa Bay area students to pursue higher education in the arts. Since 2008, TBBCA has awarded scholarships to over 60 deserving students who are some of the most talented young artists and performers in the nation, helping them defray tuition expenses at the university, college or conservatory of their choice.
