The Museum of Fine Arts in downtown St. Petersburg invites artists from Pinellas, Hillsborough, Hernando, Manatee, Pasco and Sarasota counties to propose the design for an artistic holiday display in the Great Hall based on the theme of harmony. Artists are requested to consider the Great Hall in its entirety for an immersive design in keeping with the theme of harmony.
The Museum will provide a stipend of $10,000 to cover artist fee and fabrication costs.
Artists working in any medium are invited to apply as long as the design remains within the fabrication budget and all ornaments and decorative elements created hang safely on the Holiday Tree, which measures approximately 14 feet high by 6 feet across.
Application requirements and a diagram of the space are available at mfastpete.org/event/deck-the-great-hall-2018-call-to-artists.
