TBBCA Chalk Walk to enliven Raymond James 46th Gasparilla Festival of the Arts

Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture & the Arts “pARTners” with Gasparilla Festival of the Arts to bring TBBCA Chalk Walk March 5 & 6 under the eaves Tampa Museum of Art

TAMPA, Fla. (February 24, 2016) – Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture & the Arts (TBBCA) is pARTnering for another exciting TBBCA Chalk Walk with the Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts. TBBCA is once again producing this popular event, bringing ten commissioned chalk artists to create live interactive art experiences in the heart of the annual Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts.

“We are proud to offer this TBBCA Chalk Walk in downtown Tampa with our valued pARTner Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts,” says Susana Weymouth, Executive Director of TBBCA. “It is a great opportunity to support talented artists while providing a free, fun, family-friendly and accessible program for our community and attracting the public to area museums and businesses.” Since its founding in 2008, TBBCA Chalk Walks have been entertaining audiences of all age groups and levels of art appreciation throughout the greater Tampa Bay area.

GFA President of the Board of Directors, Ashly Anderson, commented that GFA “Board of Directors and Committee are proud to present the 46th annual Gasparilla Festival of the Arts, featuring 250 artists from across the country once again in 2016. We’re all looking forward to enjoying it.” In the past, the festival has attracted tens of thousands of visitors from across the region.

TBBCA Chalk Walk will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 5th and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday March 6th, under the eaves of the Tampa Museum of Art alongside the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts in Curtis Hixon Park. Meet the artists and watch their technical skill as they bring their amazing artistic creations to life throughout the weekend.
