TAMPA, Fla. (February 21, 2019) – Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture & the Arts (TBBCA) is thrilled to continue the strong annual pARTnership with Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts for TBBCA Chalk Walk. The free, fun, family friendly live art experience will feature eight specially commissioned chalk artists bringing their special genre of art to life Saturday, March 2nd from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. under the eaves of the Tampa Museum of Art. The 49th Gasparilla Festival of the Arts in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park and Kiley Garden continues through the weekend, and the final chalk art will be on display through Sunday March 3rd until 4 PM. Back by popular demand, a specially commissioned high school chalk artist will demonstrate her talents over both Saturday and Sunday in the Festival’s VIP area.

“Our Board of Directors and Festival Committee are proud to present the 49th Annual Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts, one of the America’s premier juried outdoor art shows, featuring over 250 of the nation’s most talented visual and performing artists,” says GFA President, Andy George. “This year’s show will again feature a diverse mix of work in a variety of disciplines, including ceramic, digital, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, watercolor, and wood.” In the past, the festival has attracted tens of thousands of visitors from across the region.
